How long will it take me to get results in Google Ads?

This question, being very popular among new Google Ads users, has motivated me to make this blog and write about this topic.

The time period should be between 1 and 3 months to be able to make adjustments and thus make the campaigns work optimally. This does not mean that in the first weeks it is not possible to get results, but the general idea is that Google Ads is a platform where data is generated and this is a BIG ADVANTAGE. Thanks to this data we can observe which parts of our campaigns work or which do not work, with the objective of making the campaigns as profitable as possible.

That said, don't get impatient if you have started with your Google Ads campaigns and you are not getting results that fast, it is very important to know that the more time passes, the better your results will get.

It is very common to hear a first time advertiser say:"I have invested 10€ in Google Ads and I have not achieved any sales, I am going to pause or eliminate my campaigns, Google Ads does not work".

Thinking this way is very illogical, but it is very common because of the advantages and disadvantages that digital marketing offers. Clearly one of the advantages is the fact that creating a campaign is relatively fast, and we believe that for this reason the campaigns will bring us very good results just as quickly.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way, results are usually a long time coming in most cases. Because of this, digital marketing platforms are not made for impatient people or impatient advertisers.

As I mentioned before it is very quick to create a campaign, but among so many campaigns and competitors within your city or niche market, it is practically impossible to know first hand how your ads are going to work. The first month is usually a time for LEARNING, but this doesn't mean that you have to do things in a crazy way, or create campaigns that don't make much sense. You should ALWAYS follow a good structure and also in this period we will understand what is happening in the niche market that we are creating campaigns.

In this way, after a few weeks we will have it easier and easier to create our niche within Google Ads and understand what is happening within this sector. Thanks to the passage of this time we can make adjustments to each time and successively improve our campaigns.

Your Google Ads campaigns depend on several factors to know if they work or not, being the most important: QUALITY LEVEL, SPEED OF YOUR WEBSITE AND THE QUALITY OF YOUR PRODUCT OR SERVICE. You can create the best campaign in the world but if any of these factors or your product does not have enough quality, you will get a lot of clicks on your ad but absolutely no one will buy your products or services.

A very important tip is to be patient, don't get desperate. I recommend you not to be every 10 minutes checking if the campaigns are working or not, because this action leads you to want to modify your campaigns too quickly and you will not get to know with certainty the changes that really work well or not. You should allow some time for the data to accumulate, you will be able to verify which parameters work better in your campaigns. Also If you have a low budget, you need more time to understand how your campaigns are working or to draw conclusions. However, if you have a high investment, you have more clicks and this will help you to make adjustments faster.

My recommendation is to modify the campaigns after 3 to 7 days depending on your budget.

In summary, the most important thing is to be patient and not jump to conclusions, study where you can improve your campaigns or see what factors mentioned above may be failing.
